Just a quick note to say that everything is done, we have been released and we are now working on some serious snuggles.
Noah's surgery did take a little longer than they anticipated and he did take a bit longer to wake up than they thought he would, but overall, they all did great! And, as a bonus, I didn't have to see Noah intubated!
Their ENT doctor told us that all three had fluid in their ears with a mucus like consistency, which tells us it has been in their ears for at least three months. Poor peanuts! Hopefully this is the end of the constant ear infections.

ReplyDeleteTubes changed our lives...and we only had one baby. The surgery was less than 20 minutes...she woke up great and was then ear infection free for almost a year (after having 6 infections in 4 months). We did have a couple small ones about a year later when one clogged...but they cleared it at the ent and we have now been ear infection free for another year. yay!!!!! So glad they all came through it well. Our daughter also had all the gunk in there they had to clean out. I caused some yucky, bloody, sappy drainage for a couple days...but then all was well again. Enjoy all those snuggles.
